Admire incredible body art as Kent’s biggest tattoo convention returns for another year.
Maidstone Tattoo Extravaganza will be held at Kent Showground, Detling during the Easter bank holiday weekend.
The event will begin on Saturday, April 8, and run through Easter Monday. Online booking is possible.
Fraser and Samantha Williams, both of Maidstone, organize the exhibition. They have been showcasing body modifications at the convention since 2017.
Over 100 artists will be participating in the weekend event, from freelancers to large studios.
Visitors can discuss their design ideas with artists, check out the studio’s flash tattoos and even book themselves in to get a tattoo at the exhibition.
This year’s convention includes many Kent-based artists and studios, including Black River Tattoo in Rainham, Alex Crook Studio in Sittingbourne, The Union in Maidstone, and Stars and Swallows in Dartford.
The show welcomes tattooists worldwide and has previously featured artists from Spain and France.
Several traders will be available, including Vertical Vinyl, Chupacabra Taxidermy, and Moonmist Emorium, which sell handcrafted gifts and items.
The convention will also offer visitors the chance to sample street food and drink from local vendors, including Maidstone’s Double Bubble Bar and Delaney’s Kitchen from Tunbridge Wells.
Live entertainment is also set to return to this year’s exhibition, after being canceled in recent years due to the pandemic.
Tickets cost £15 for adults, and children up to the age of 16 go free.
