Why a woman with tattoos from head to toe regrets them?
A TikToker, 36 years old, revealed to her followers she had had second thoughts regarding all the marks she received when she was in her 20s.
Sara said: “Imagine, if you will, that you put a shirt on once when you were in your 20s – and now you have to wear that for the rest of your life.
“And that is what it feels like to get heavily tattooed before you become a fully developed adult human.”
@saraovershares Oops I regret all my tattoos 🥲 I might do another video listing all the other reasons but so far none of them involve my tattoos aging (which is what dudes used to always tell me) they just don’t match who I am now and my girly/feminine aesthetic. Will you regret your tattoos when you’re my age? Maybe! #CapCut #tattooregret #tattooregrets #feminineaesthetic #girlyaesthetic
Social media content creator said she questioned her designs for many reasons, but they did not match her “aesthetic.”
She admitted that she did not understand the consequences of tattoos in her 20s. It wasn’t until her 30s that she realized ‘who’ she was.
“All these tattoos do not necessarily reflect me at 36.” They may have reflected my mental state in my 20s.
She won’t remove them any time soon.
She said: “Before anybody says anything, no, I’m not getting all of my tattoos removed; that’s not even feasible, don’t suggest it.”
Sara said all the tattoo designers who created her ink are incredibly talented. However, she would prefer it if they were not on her body.
The 36-year-old concluded the video with some pearls of wisdom for those who are considering tattoos when they are in their 20s.
“I also wanted to come on here and put myself out there and say that I was told that I would regret my tattoos when I got older.
“I am older and regret my tattoos – and you might too,” she said.
Many viewers have shared their horror stories of regretting ‘body art.’
One user wrote: “I’m in my 20s, and any tattoo I get has to be meaningful.
“Me: Forearm tattoo with shrimp cocktail and a flamingo.”
Another said: I’m 29 but had many tattoos between 19 and 23. “I regret most of them, not just for aesthetic reasons but also.”
A third person commented, “My husband is tattooed with a rat and the ex-girlfriend of his girlfriend.”
Tattoo laser removal is a godsend!
