It seems Brian Austin Green has finally decided it’s time to get rid of his tattoo for his ex – 20 years after separating.
Vanessa Marcil was 54 when the 49-year-old actor began dating her in 1999. They met on the set of Beverly Hills 90210 a year before.
Brian and Vanessa welcomed their son Kassius, now 20 years old, in 2002. They separated in 2003.
While together, Brian got a massive tattoo of Vanessa’s name on his arm in a significant declaration of love.
The artwork featured Kassius’ name, with Vanessa’s shaded inside the letters.
It looks as if the ink is gone.
TMZ said he looked into removing the design fifteen years ago when he split from Vanessa.
However, he could not finish the job as the tattoo parlor shut down.
The tattoo was only faintly visible on his arm for a few years, but he finally decided to remove it this month.
Brian appeared in photos recently obtained by an American outlet with tape on his arm. Brian had gone to the extent of removing the tattoo.
But Kassius needn’t worry, as his dad still has another tattoo honoring his son in the form of a baby photo on his bicep.
Brian and Vanessa were involved in a protracted custody battle for their son following a separation. The situation worsened when Brian tried to sue Vanessa, claiming she owed unpaid loans. The case, however, was dismissed.
And it seems they haven’t remained on the best of terms all these years later, as Vanessa claimed in February during an Instagram Q&A that she and Brian ‘don’t co-parent’ and raised their son ‘alone.’
However, Brian quickly shut down the claims by saying in his social media post that Vanessa was ‘never there’ and he and his ex-wife Megan Fox worked hard to ‘give Kass a well-rounded childhood.’
He stated that it was ‘frustrating’ to read ‘lies’ on social media like they were in ‘high school.’
Megan, the actress in Transformers, officially divorced Brian in 2020 after a relationship that lasted over ten years.
They have three sons: Noah, Bodhi (eight), and Journey (five).
