Matt Damon’s new ‘Nomad’ tattoo is a heartfelt tribute to his late dad
Yes, that’s right. Matt Damon’s new ink that says ‘nomad’ is in honor of his late father Kent Damon who died in the year 2017. He was 74 years of age at the time of his death. Back in the day, he even essayed a role in his son’s 2003 film Stuck on You.
Nomad is simply the family’s surname Damon spelled backwards. In addition to this, it was also the name of the elder Damon’s boat, as per celebrity tattoo artist Winterstone, who’s the one responsible for the ink.
“Got to tattoo an idol of mine! This is a cool job that allows you to experience great moments like this # mattdamon. And Mr. Damon even tattooed me! This was his first time tattooing! A small universe…aka a dot,” he wrote alongside a video of the tattoo session on the social media platform Instagram.
The tattoo artist Winterstone went on to say, “The tattoo has great meaning. We tattooed NOMAD for his father. It was his father’s boat. Also, it says DAMON backward. Pretty rad tattoo with so much Meaning!”
