And now for the juicy bit!
Talking about finalizing the design, the celebrity tattoo artist revealed, “Arjun shared his ideas behind getting a tattoo, and with his inputs and our creative vision, we came up with the phoenix. The concept was developed based on his personal story and the meaningful reason behind his decision to get the tattoo.”
But wait till you hear how long the actor was stuck on the chair!
“The tattooing process took about 7 hours. Honestly, from the time he arrived until the very end, it was an enjoyable experience,” Sunny claims.
As for Arjun’s reaction to the tattoo, Sunny states, “The instant the tattoo was completed, his face lit up with the broadest of smiles. His expression transformed into sheer awe and wonder as he admired the artwork’s beauty. Throughout the session, he was the studio’s life, filling the air with laughter. His stories, peppered with humour, turned what could have been a gruelling session into a day filled with unforgettable moments and hearty belly laughs.”
Of course, we couldn’t let Sunny go without answering some of our most burning questions regarding tattoos.
All about tattoos and their aftercare
When asked about some of the most common misconceptions about tattoos that have now been debunked, Sunny says, “Tattoos used to be seen as a sign of rebellion, but now they’re a popular way for people, including doctors, lawyers, and business professionals, to express themselves through body art. Moreover, it was a common belief that having a tattoo meant you couldn’t donate blood due to the chemicals in the ink. However, this has been proven false. Nowadays, it’s advised to wait up to a year after getting a tattoo before donating blood.”
And if you have been curious about the aftercare that comes with such a big tattoo, Sunny advises, “Tattoo care varies by climate and location. Your tattoo artist will apply Dermalize, a protective tattoo film, for the first week. Additionally, protect your tattoo from the sun using high SPF sunscreen and avoid sea or chlorine water, using waterproof sunscreen if necessary. Regularly moisturize with an aftercare balm like Aliens Stuff. Extreme changes in muscle size can distort the tattoo, so consider this if planning significant body changes. Staying hydrated helps maintain healthy skin and a vibrant tattoo.”
