Chicago tattoo artist charged with sexually assaulting teen girl, abusing two women

Miguel Deleon (49), has been charged with sexually assaulting an 17-year old girl in April 2022.

He was also charged for sexually abusing and illegally restrainting two women (a 26-year old on Aug. 8, 2021 and a 42 year-old on the 1st of August 2022).

All the attacks took place while Deleon worked as a tattoo artist in Chicago’s Lawn neighborhood at 6500 South Francisco Avenue.

Prosecutors claim that DeLeon and three other women approached DeLeon through Facebook to get tattoo work. Authorities claim that DeLeon victimized the women in each instance.

Prosecutors say that DeLeon, 17 years old, tried to tattoo her forearm. DeLeon allegedly made the victim tattoo a stencil on her chest, buttocks and stomach.

DeLeon, 26, allegedly rubbed her genitals against a 26-year old woman who was trying to get a tattoo on her lower back.

Chicago spoke to DeLeon’s neighbor who is a mother of five.

“I’m concerned. I have children. I have my daughters … he seemed like a normal person,” she said.

Another neighbor, an 18-year-old woman, said Deleon solicited her for tattoo work as well but that she could tell something wasn’t right.

Deleon was already on bond awaiting trial for similar sex crimes. Deleon was released on bond.

Deleon is due back in court on Feb. 21.

Chicago police encourage victims in Chicago of Deleon to contact Area One detectives at (312-747-8380), to report.
