An impulsive woman has a Latin quotation permanently tattooed on her body.
She decided on a tattoo randomly but did not research its meaning beforehand.
Elaina (@elaina.gator) wasn’t prepared to get the permanent body art she ended up with.
She posted a TikTok video. After she got inked up, she exposed herself for her mistake.
The woman could not speak and held her camera before her as she thought about what happened.
“POV – You got a tattoo impulsively, without research.” Her caption read.
Now you’ve got the state motto of Kansas permanently tattooed down your spine.
The motto is “Ad Astra Per Aspera.”
Elaina’s new Latin tattoo means: “To stars through difficulties.”
Though she didn’t intend to get this tattoo, she is glad it’s not Nebraska’s slogan.
Elaina told her viewers she liked this quote in the comments of her video.
She had no idea that it was related to the state.
“I’m from Kansas, but I have the same tattoo,” one woman admitted.
Another TikTok user said: “I’ve got it on my ankle.” It’s good to know that I’m not the only one.
Elaina replied, “It is not our fault that their motto was so good.”
“Nobody in Kansas knows the state motto.” “You do you, bestie,” said a supportive fan.
