After his new tattoo was revealed, ZION Williamson’s fans ripped him.
His tattoo artist posted the ink of the 22-year-old New Orleans Pelicans forward on Instagram Monday.
Williamson has a full-width tattoo that covers his shoulder blades. It reads: ‘Mount Zion.
This is his first season with injuries. He’s made a lot of jokes about it on Twitter.
One person wrote: “Bro spent more minutes on the tattoo artist’s chair than he spent on the court this season” followed by two skull emojis.
Another commented, “That tattoo took longer than mins Zion got to play this season for Pelicans.”
One comment stated: “Zion out for 6-8 weeks (tattoo recovery).”
Others shared his desire to see him return to the court and stated: “Need he back on the floors !!!” “I hope this man realizes his full potential.”
Williamson has been suffering from injuries since his first year in the NBA.
After tearing his meniscus at the beginning of 2019, he played only 24 games in 2019, before rebounding with 61 games in 2020 and being named All-Star.
Williamson suffered a fracture in his foot during the following offseason, which forced him to miss the whole 2021 season.
He appeared in 29 games this season before Week 38. However, he has not played since then due to a hamstring strain.
The Pelicans tweeted on March 8: “Medical imaging revealed that Williamson’s hamstring continues to heal.
“His next examination is scheduled for approximately two weeks.”
New Orleans currently sits at 12th in the Western Conference. New Orleans still has 10 games to go.
