Big North Tattoo Show 2023: Tickets, Dates, and More

The Big North Tattoo Show is bold, beautiful, and at times bizarre. Its return to Newcastle on April 29-30 will attract the usual large crowds.

The show brings together tattoo artists from all over the world in one place at Utilita Arena. It is a rare opportunity to see masters at work. This is the perfect place for anyone looking to create a unique tattoo or piece of personal art.

In 2017, the giant convention was launched in the city as a “family event” and it became an instant hit. The convention featured a wide range of international tattoo artists, showcasing different techniques. They were joined by local tattoo artists.

Since then, the show has gained popularity year after year. More than 200 artists offer tattoos from traditional Samoan art to cartoons and portraits. They also demonstrate skills like an original “hand poke” method that does not use machines and hand-tapping, a laborious process using bamboo sticks to apply ink.

Some tattoo stations allow drop-ins, while others require pre-booking. This is ideal for those who want to get a tattoo on the spur of the moment. The tattoo show is back in Newcastle for its fifth year. Along with the competitions and all the tattooing action, the weekender promises the usual additional attractions.
