South African International Tattoo Convention (SAITC), is being held in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Romy van Tonger, the event organizer, stated 170 tattooists from 22 different countries would be practicing at both events.
South African International Tattoo Convention (SAITC), will take place this year in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
It’s on in Joburg at the 1Fox precinct in Newtown from 24-26 March, and in Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront from 31 March to 1 April.

She stated that the Convention’s aim is to bring together tattooists of many countries around the world, including South Africa.
These two events will feature 170 tattooists from 22 countries.
Each year we gather at the Waterfront, Cape Town, around the end of March. We are launching this year in Johannesburg, Newtown. This event will bring together tattoo enthusiasts and encourage them to share their passion.

Van Tonder claims the South African contingent has represented quite some cities.

Van Tonder warns that tattoos should be considered a serious decision.
Do “Whatever You Do” and find a professional tattoo artist who will do a great work.
Some people may bring in tattoos, but they don’t have one. Professional artists would not advise this. Some tattoo shops do not respect the industry and culture. You can find someone who does it, but it’s not always the best.
