For the first time, the vibrant world of tattoos comes alive in Tarare at the Nostalg’ink Tattoo Show, a thrilling convention on Saturday, October 21, and Sunday, October 22, at the Joseph-Triomphe Hall. With a spooky Halloween theme, this convention promises to be an exciting gathering of tattoo artists and other creative exhibitors.
Organized by Blandine Jaillet and her husband Pierre, the Nostalg’ink Tattoo Show in Tarare represents a significant milestone in tattoo conventions. As per Blandine, these conventions have been exceptionally successful and continue to grow yearly. The forthcoming event, spanning two days at the Joseph-Triomphe Hall, certainly attests to her observation.
Tattoo artists from all over France, Switzerland, and Belgium are converging in Tarare to be part of this artistic extravaganza. The organizers received an overwhelming number of participation requests, and they had to carefully select participants due to the limited number of stands available. With most of these stands reserved for tattoo professionals, the event boasts artists from various regions, including Alsace, Haute-Savoie, Bordeaux, and Swiss and Belgian representatives.
The presence of both national and international artists in Tarare is primarily attributed to Pierre and Blandine’s professional relationships forged during their participation in various tattoo conventions. The organization of a tattoo competition, part of the convention (see details below), has also attracted more professionals. Winning such an event invariably enhances an artist’s reputation in the industry.
As Blandine explains, a tattoo convention provides the public a unique opportunity to witness tattoo artistry up close, from the initial design to the final masterpiece. It’s a chance to observe the entire tattooing process, from concept to execution.
While tattoo artists will undoubtedly be in the spotlight, the Nostalg’ink Tattoo Show is about more than ink. This eclectic event will feature a range of exhibitors, including jewelry designers, a cartomancer, and even an artist specializing in sculpting animal skulls. Each exhibitor will creatively embrace the Halloween theme, and the audience will be excited to select the most intriguing booth.
Beyond the ink and creative endeavors, the convention will feature captivating performances. Two artists will take their art to new heights by strolling through the way on stilts, adding a touch of spectacle to the event. The ambiance will be electrified with a Saturday afternoon metal concert by the Black Chair Rite band. Later in the evening, the musical group Khalypso will delight the crowd with rock interpretations of pirate shanties. The pop-rock band Mecanic Hearts will take the stage the following day, providing the perfect soundtrack to the event.
As if the festivities inside the Joseph-Triomphe Hall weren’t enough, motorcycle enthusiasts will have the opportunity to admire the stunning bikes of the MC Dark Lions outside the venue. It’s a true celebration of both ink and iron.
