Ventura County Fairgrounds a buzz with tattoo artist equipment during the Seaside Tattoo Show.
Attendees of the 5th show can watch as people get tattoos, or they can even get one themselves.
The majority of artists only work with people who have tattoos.
Some people on the tattoo tables slept, scrolled on their phones, or read a book.
One customer was reading “Brave New World.”
Other people talked to the tattoo artists and asked about their tattoos.
Thomas “Guero” Conard created a mobster tattoo on Kris Whalen’s thigh.
Whalen said, “I’ve always been fascinated by the mob family mentality. So, I have a whole leg sleeve dedicated to different mobsters.”
The tattoo collector stated that he attended the show quite a few times.
He says the best part was seeing the artists working and sharing tattoo stories.
The Seaside Tattoo Show will continue on Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm.
