The International Convention and Exhibition Centre will host the largest Southern Hemisphere tattoo conference, with over 400 artists, from March 10-12. The Australian Tattoo Expo We will host an event for body art lovers, providing entertainment and a carefully curated line up for everyone.
Ami James, an Israeli-American tattoo artist, will be the special guest at the expo. Ami appeared previously on Miami Ink Master, Ink Master and Ink Master. Ami James from Authentic Ink will be available for a live chat.
The event will showcase a range of tattoo artists and their techniques. Entertainment begins on the Main Stage, where you will find Sydney fire dancers as well as sword swallowers. There will be several tattoo competitions.
‘Shittiest Tattoo Competition’ comes to Sydney
The “Shittest Tattoo Competition” is not one to be missed, acknowledging the cringe-worthy, embarrassing, and worst of the worst tattoos.
All competitions offer cash prizes. The CTAA competition offers $60,000 to competitors.
The Australian Tattoo Expo will be celebrating its 12th year running, with the Australian Exhibition Group CEO and Founder Kevin Mack expecting this year’s expo to see record numbers.
“The Tattoo Expo is not only a place for the community to gather, but it introduces newcomers to the world of body art and modification, offering a unique opportunity to get up and personal with some of the best artists in the world,” Mack said.
Single-day passes are available at $45.00 standard pricing and $30.00 concession. Children 13-17 years of age can purchase tickets for $15.00. Children younger than 12 years can enter the venue without charge, provided an adult is there.
The convention will be held at the ICC Sydney from Friday 10th March – Sunday 12th March 2023. The event hours for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets available here.
