Rivers of Ink under the Mole: an “ink-credible” event is coming to Turin! From 22nd to 24th September, the most essential tattoo artists in the world will meet at the Turin Tattoo Convention, now a must for professionals, enthusiasts, and the curious. Three days with a high rate of ink, 250 tattoo artists arriving from 8 different countries, over 20 contests, and more than 100,000 visitors expected from all over Europe for one of the most important industry events in the world.
In Italy, where tattooing is much more than a trend – there are around 7 million tattooed Italians, over 13% of the total population – Torino Tattoo Convention brings to the Pala Alpitour in Turin all the best of what the tattoo market offers. It is an opportunity to see the great international masters at work and to have the job done by otherwise unapproachable professionals… and more! Behind the tattoo is a real universe to be discovered, made up of artists and designs, artistic contaminations, ink celebrities, technical innovations, and trends that become schools of thought.
Chicano, figurative, deconstructed, fine line, black work, Polynesian, traditional… This year, the Turin event has an oriental mood with many Asian artists from Japan, China, and Thailand: Shanqi Liu, Cathy Tattoo, Horizakura, Shun Tattoo, Show Tattoo, and Jin Tattoo.
The female quotas are also high with the increasingly sought-after female tattoo artists: Ary Lilith, who works between Milan and Naples; Elisa Di Paola, a tattoo artist in Liverpool—Giugo, who tattoos between Bologna and Barcelona—Letizia Soldatelli from Rome; and many others.
Ink under the skin but also music, DJ sets, live shows, exhibitions, and artistic exhibitions.
The program on www.torinotattooconvention.it will, as always, be rich and varied, structured in different points of attraction: the main stage in the parterre will host parades, exhibitions, shows, and concerts, a continuous succession of original, eccentric, and catalyzing entertainment proposals. The hottest moments of the event are the tattoo contests—real competitions to reward the most beautiful tattoos created at the convention. An exceptional technical jury, supported by the general public, will attend the fashion shows and decide each type’s final ranking and winners.
