From November 3rd to 5th, Palermo welcomes the ninth edition of the tattoo festival, where national and international tattoo artists unite with a dedicated audience of enthusiasts. It’s an unmissable event for tattoo collectors and those contemplating getting inked for the first time.
The Palermo Tattoo Convention returns to the Cantieri Culturali della Zisa from November 3rd to 5th, where the Spazio Tre Navate will become the meeting place for the best tattoo artists from prominent studios locally, nationally, and internationally. It’s a gathering that promises to showcase the most incredible tattoos.
In its ninth edition, this year’s Palermo Tattoo Convention hosts over a hundred tattoo artists who will unveil the latest trends and styles in the world of tattooing. Tattooing is a craft passed down with passion and dedication from one generation to the next, and over time, it has become increasingly attractive to women. This edition features numerous female tattoo artists, three of whom have chosen to carry on the family legacy, stepping into the shoes of their fathers, who were pioneers in this delicate craft.
With over a hundred tattoo artists, tattoo models, live performances, music, DJ sets, as well as exhibitions and live street art, the Palermo Tattoo Convention continues to establish itself as the most significant event of its kind in southern Italy. Since its presence in Palermo in 2014, this international tattoo festival has engaged the most renowned tattoo artists worldwide, including innovators of new styles, trusted tattoo artists of celebrities, and legends in the tattooing world.
The outdoor space will come alive with burlesque performances, tattoo model shows, DJ sets, and musical performances. One of the most anticipated events is a street art show featuring the creation of a large graffiti piece that will be executed during the three-day event, in addition to the awaited awards ceremony for the competition winners. This year, the exceptional judges are Max Ferrigno, a well-known artist, designer, and set designer who is also in charge of stage designs, and Ester Cardella, a highly acclaimed comic artist, and illustrator responsible for creating awards for the best tattoo artists of the year.
Previous editions have welcomed over 25,000 visitors and tattoo enthusiasts from all over Sicily. In eight years, more than 5,000 tattoos have been created, with a significant increase in both the audience and industry professionals.
Each tattoo artist will have a dedicated booth, allowing visitors to book and safely get their tattoos. Admission is reserved for ticket holders.
The Palermo Tattoo Convention embodies the convergence of tattoo artistry, passion, and tradition. It’s where you can witness the evolution of this art form and experience the vibrancy of the tattooing world in a beautiful setting like Palermo. It’s a celebration of self-expression and creativity that continues to draw a growing crowd of enthusiasts and professionals.
