TWO tattoo artists with 25 years of experience are set to open a new tattoo parlour and will be offering free tattoos to loyal customers.
Terry Coker, 52 years old, is the owner of the new shop, Chameleons Tattoo Parlour. The store will open in Thundersley later in the month.
He was a former owner of a tattoo parlour, which was located in Dagenham since 2001. It had been there for almost 20 years.
Terry will be back in tattooing, after taking a break to attend to a business opportunity to open a store at 122 Hart Road, Thundersley.
Terry, at the Dagenham store at the time, hired Grant Mitchell as an apprentice.
Terry worked with Grant at the Dagenham Store until the end. Terry moved to Benfleet to be with Kerry.
Terry and Grant are now back together to save Chameleons and open a store in Thundersley.
He said: “We are very excited to reboot Chameleons.
“This is a very special time for us, and it means so much.
“It is great to have Grant joining me too as he is an amazing freehand artist with a fantastic portfolio.
“We do every style of tattoo between us all, and pride ourselves on quality and a friendly environment.
“We are hoping to open on Saturday, February 18. Although we still have some work to do, we are moving forward.
Terry’s daughter Courtney will also be working at the new studio.
The new studio will allow customers to have their ears pierced.
A promotion was also set up by the company that will offer a free tattoo.
Terry added: “We are doing a promotion whereby we are offering a free tattoo of a chameleon, for a limited period, to act as a loyalty card.
“This gives the clients, that wear the chameleon tattoo, will forever receive ten percent off any tattoos and piercing at Chameleon’s Tattoo Parlour.”
